Pablo Mercado, born in Antequera, Spain, studied Fine Arts at the University of Seville and the Accademia di Belle Arti Pietro Vanucci of Perugia and the Master in Art, creation and research at the University Complutense of Madrid.
 
From August 2010 lives and works in Berlin, where he has had numerous group exhibitions and several singles. He has also exhibited in other cities such as Madrid, Seville, Bilbao, Rome, Brussels, Leipzig, etc..
 
His current work, Lomomalerei, focuses on the nostalgia of utopias and their relationship with the current recovery trend from analogue. Mercado works with traditional painting procedures imitating the aesthetics of Lomography in abandoned spaces with retro style in Berlin, where nostalgia is particularly evident.
